Scottishweb has been online since 1997 and in that time the Internet has changed greatly, both in speed and technologies used. Over the years we have had different page designs and layouts as technology has progressed. However up to recent times the whole site was built on a page-by-page basis and with over 500 pages of content it could could be very time consuming.

New Technology

In February 2008 we implimented a brand new custom content management system (CMS) to run and organise Scottishweb. This means we are able to control the whole site centrally, input content without building any webpages and bring you - the visitor - many new features and facilities.

This CMS is now online and fully functioning although from time to time it may be fine tuned to meet our requirements. The task of re-entering our standard content now begins so it is best to check back on a regular basis for new articles, features and additions. Scottishweb is now updated on a daily basis so our content is constantly growing.
